JI Balochistan chief tenders resignation

LORALAI: The Provincial chief of Jamaat Islami (JI) Balochistan chapter, Abdul Mateen Akhundzada has confirmed that he had dispatched his resignation to the party chief Syed Munawar Hasan.Talking to reporters, here on Tuesday, he said "I tendered my resignation from the office of provincial chief of JI Balochistan that has been dispatched to the party's central chief Syed Munawar Hasan".He said that he decided to tender resignation in protest against what he said rigging in general elections 2013 to defeat the JI candidates. He alleged that rigging was carried out in polls to ensure victory of some candidates who earlier have earn defame for their involvement in heinous crimes like that kidnapping for ransom and others.He said that he was still member of JI and would continue his affiliation with the party.Copyright APP (Associated Press of Pakistan), 2013
