tremors jolt Ziarat, Malakand Division

ZIARAT/MALAKAND: Severe jolts were felt in district Ziarat of Balochistan and Malakand Division of Khyber Pakhtunkhawa provinces on Thursday.According to details, tremor of 5.3 magnitude on Richter scale shook Ziarat and adjoining areas causing immense panic among the local people.According to Meteorological Department, the epicenter of earthquake was in Iran, 43 kilometer inside earth crust.Meanwhile, quake of 2.3 intensity on Richter scale was felt in various areas of Malakand agency including Chitral and adjoining areas.No casualties and loss of property were reported as a result of earthquakes.It should be mentioned that it was sixth time during last few months that tremors rocked the country.Copyright INP (Independent News Pakistan), 2013
