ECP declares 240 polling stations of Rawalpindi as sensitive

ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Thursday declared 240 polling stations of Rawalpindi district as ‘sensitive’.According to ECP officials, out of total more than 2,000 polling stations to be set up in various areas of Rawalpindi district in seven National Assembly constituencies and 14 provincial assembly constituencies 240 are sensitive in nature. They said that to deal with any untoward occurrence at the said polling stations, additional police and army jawans will be deployed.It should be mentioned that ECP has planned to set up around 2,150 polling stations in Rawalpindi district for May 11 polls.Copyright INP (Independent News Pakistan), 2013
