KMC contract officers fired

KARACHI: All employees of Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC), who were re-appointed on contract after retirement in different departments of KMC have been fired with immediate effect, in compliance with the directives of the Supreme Court and with the approval of KMC Administrator Syed Hashim Raza Zaidi.According to a statement of the KMC on Wednesday, the officers who have been fired include Muhammad Zakir of Deputy Mayor Secretariat, Atiq Baig Foreign Coordination Desk Administrator Secretariat, Iqbal Jang Administrator Secretariat, Hassan Imam Siddiqui Deputy Mayor Secretariat, Shamim Khan Engineering Department, Syed Wahid Ali Administrator Secretariat, Abdul Sattar Javed Department of Transport Communication, Khalid Javed Engineering Department, Syed Farhat Hussain Zaidi HRM Department, Thawar Ali Khan Department of Law, Jahandad Khan Engineering Department, Salman Akhtar Fareedi Lyari Expressway Rehabilitation Project, Khursheed Javed Department of Law, Nadim Khan Department of Law, Rani Warsa Department of Education, Anwar-ul-Haque Department of Law, Muhammad Saleem Ibrahim Store Department, Ghulam Rasool Karachi Mass Transit Cell, A.
