Karachi police arrest 145 accused during past 24 hours

KARACHI: The Karachi police during their on-going drive against the criminals, arrested 145 accused during the past 24 hours.A police statement on Thursday said that those arrested included 107 absconders and 10 proclaimed offenders.It said that there were 10 encounters of the police with the alleged criminals and that six gangs of alleged criminals were busted during the period.As many as 22 pistols, two mousers, one hand grenade and two mobile phones were recovered by the police from the possession of those arrested.The police have registered cases and started investigations, the statement added.Copyright APP (Associated Press of Pakistan), 2013
