726 candidates file forms for Quetta seats

QUETTA: About 726 candidates have filed their nomination forms till zero hour on Sunday night for two national assembly and six provincial assembly seats of Quetta.Muhammad Yousuf, the spokesman for the Election Commission (EC) of Balochistan told APP here on Monday that total 726 candidates including men and women have filed their nomination papers for two National Assembly and six provincial assembly seats and for women reserved and minorities' reserved seats."The Election Commission Quetta Office and Returning officer received nomination forms from the candidates till zero hour on Sunday night and 726 candidates have filed their nomination papers for Quetta seats," he said.Narrating details about the submitted forms, he said that 53 candidates filed their nomination papers for NA-259 Quetta City seat, 62 for NA-260 Quetta-Chagai seat, 62 for PB-1, Quetta-1 seat, 50 for PB-2, 58 for PB-3, 56 for PB-4, 78 for PB-5 and 93 for PB-6 seat.He added that 48 candidates from Quetta filed their forms for women reserved seats of the National Assembly and 107 for women reserved seats of the provincial assembly and 59 for minorities' seats.Replying to a question, he said that the EC Balochistan Office has yet to receive fax and e-mails from different...
