Strike being observed against Quetta blast

QUETTA: Trade activities are at stand still as strike is being observed in the provincial capital against the Hazara Town blast here on Monday.At least 28 people of Hazara community including nine women and three children were killed and over 50 injured in a suicide blast took place outside an Imambargah in Hazara Town, on Sunday night. Two people later succumbed to their injuries in CMH on Monday.In protest against the deadly attack on the community, Hazara Democratic Party, Shia Council and PkMAP announced strike call for the city.Reacting to the attack, main markets in the city remained closed. However, traffic plying on the road was as usual. Stringent security has been adopted to avert any eventuality. Vehicles of Law Enforcement agencies are seen patrolling in the sensitive areas.Additional force deployed, on the main junctions are also checking the pedestrian and vehicles.Copyright APP (Associated Press of Pakistan), 2013
