12 militants killed, 2 security personnel martyred in Kurram clashes

PARACHINAR: At least 12 militants and two security personnel were killed and five others injured in a clash with security forces here on early Saturday morning.According to security sources, the insurgents attacked a security check post in Chamkani area of central Kurram Agency killing two security personnel and leaving five others wounded. Following the attack, the security forces bombed militant positions, killing 12 insurgents. A number of hideouts were also destroyed in the action.A military operation has been ongoing in central Kurram for the past three weeks.Copyright INP (Independent News Pakistan), 2013
