Call for plan to improve KMC schools

KARACHI: A comprehensive plan to be prepared for the improvement of the primary schools being run under the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC).This was stressed by the Administrator of the KMC, Syed Hashim Raza Zaidi, at a meeting of the Education Department on Saturday.He directed that in the plan priority should be accorded to the schools in the suburbs.The Administrator said that 131 schools in different areas of Karachi have been converted into English medium schools.He further pointed out that steps are being taken for the gradual repairs and renovation of 552 KMC schools so that a good atmosphere to be provided to the children.The Administrator also highlighted the significance of education towards progress and development.Copyright APP (Associated Press of Pakistan), 2013
