SC to take up important cases this week

ISLAMABAD: A special nine-member larger bench of the Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary has been constituted to hear Memogate case on Tuesday (June 4). The Supreme Court would this week also hear cases including petitions against General (Retd) Pervez Musharraf, cases of missing persons, lawyers' torture case and HR Case 12076-S/13 filed by Adil Gillani of Transperancy International besides case of Khawaja Muhammad Asif regarding posting transfers of officials made by the caretaker government.According to the cause list issued by the Supreme Court, nine-member special larger bench headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary comprises Justice Jawwad S Khawaja, Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali, Justice Khilji Arif Hussain, Justice Asif Saeed khosa, Justice Amir Hani Muslim, Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan, Justice Ijaz Ahmed Chaudhary and Justice Gulzar Ahmed.Copyright APP (Associated Press of Pakistan), 2013
