Sethi felicitates Christians on Easter

RECORDER REPORTLAHORE: Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Najam Sethi on Saturday congratulated Christian community on the occasion of Easter and said that Christian community plays a significant role in progress and development of the country along with other minorities. He said Easter is the religious festival of Christian community over which he felicitated Christian brethren and sisters. In his felicitation message to Christian Community on the occasion of Easter, the Caretaker Chief Minister said that the services of Christian community in the field of education, health and other social sectors are highly laudable. He said respecting each other’s religions is our collective responsibility. The Caretaker Chief Minister assured Christian community that complete protection would be provided to the rights of minorities in Punjab, while protection of their life and property would be ensured. He said, as Pakistanis, the country belongs to all of us and we have to make it a bastion of peace, tranquillity, affection and brotherhood. He said Pakistan can achieve a dignified position in comity of nations by according legitimate rights to persons belonging to all religions.Copyright Business Recorder, 2013
