LHC again issues arrest warrants of GM Efroze Chemical

LAHORE: The Lahore High Court Thursday again issued bailable arrest warrants for Shakeel Nagra, General Manager of Efroze Chemical Industry Karachi, accused in Punjab Institute of Cardiology drug scam, for failing to appear in the court despite repeatedly summoned.Justice Syed Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi passed the orders on a petition filed by the Punjab prosecution department through additional prosecutor general Punjab Abdul Samad for bail cancellation of the PIC scam accused, Deputy Managing Director Nadir Feroze and General Manager Shakeel Nagra of Efroze Chemical Industry Karachi.Earlier, the accused Nadir Feroze appeared before the court and told that he failed to appear before the court as he did not receive any intimation.The court was further told that the company was willing to pay compensation to the affectees and schedule for the purpose had been forwarded to the Punjab government but no reply received to it yet.The court adjourning the matter till July 15 again issued bailable arrest warrants of Shakeel Nagra.It is pertinent to mention that the court had issued bailable arrest warrants of the accused on last hearing after they failed to appear despite summoned.The petitioner through his petition pleaded the court to cancel bail of the accused which was...
