Pakistan Embassy hosts reception for Pak, American Congress

WASHINGTON: The Pakistani embassy here hosted a reception on Sunday evening in honor of delegates of the 21st Pak-US Friendship Summit, a full day event on the Capitol Hill being organized by Pakistan-American Congress.Dr Asad M Khan, Charge d' Affairs, briefed the participants on the current state of Pakistan-US relations and the embassy's outreach efforts including partnership with Pakistani-American community.He lauded the PAC's efforts to reach out to members of US Congress and urged them to utilize such opportunities to promote stronger ties between Pakistan and the United States.Around 80 participants attended the event including Dr Ashraf Toor, the newly elected PAC President.Copyright APP (Associated Press of Pakistan), 2013
