Parliament House witnesses unprecedented rush on Saturday

ISLAMABAD: The Parliament House premises and open spaces outside it witnessed unprecedented rush on Saturday when the newly-elected members of the Lower House came to attend the first session of the House.All open spaces on the premises and outside the Parliament House remained occupied by vehicles belonging to newly-elected members, different party workers, journalists and others. There were so many vehicles that even those on foot faced difficulty in entering the Parliament House building.Several high civil and military officials, diplomats and important personalities had also come to witness the proceedings.At the entry gate for people, a crowd seeking entry to the building was unruly and even journalists had to struggle to enter the Assembly Hall.Some party workers even tried to enter in the journalist's gallery; however they were barred by the security staff.Copyright APP (Associated Press of Pakistan), 2013
