Analyst hails Pakistan's decision to go ahead with IP project

ISLAMABAD: Pakistani defence analyst has termed as encouraging the decision of Pakistan to vigorously pursue Iran-Pakistan (IP) gas pipeline project.Talking to IRNA, Dr. Pervaiz Iqbal Cheema, Dean of the Faculty of Contemporary Studies at the National Defense University (NDU) said that there is an extreme shortage of energy in Pakistan so the gas pipeline project should be completed as early as possible.'We must look towards all options for energy in Pakistan,' he said.Expressing his views, the analyst said that building the gas pipeline between Iran and Pakistan would serve the two nations' interests.He said that that the IP project would benefit the entire region in the long run.
