Met office forecast rain for southern KP

PESHAWAR: The Met Office here on Tuesday forecasted scattered rain-thunderstorm in South Khyber Pakthunkhwa and Balochistan during next 48 hours.According to Met Office here, isolated rain in Punjab, upper Sindh, Upper KP, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan during the said period is also expected.A shallow westerly wave is affecting Balochistan and is likely to extend central and upper parts of the country from Wednesday and would persist till Thursday.In next 24 hours, mainly dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. However, rain-thunderstorm is expected at scattered places of Quetta, Zhob, Kalat and Makran divisions while at isolated places of Upper and Central Sindh. The weather of Abbottabad, Bannu, Mardan and DI Khan districts will remain dry/partly cloudy during this period. Weather remained dry in most parts of the country in last 24 hours with no reports of rain was received from any parts of the country. Chhor with 37 C and Karachi 36 C remained the hottest places of the country while pollen count today remained 11,182 per cubic meter.Copyright APP (Associated Press of Pakistan), 2013
