TB awareness seminar held at Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University

CHITRAL: Tuberculosis (TB) awareness seminar was held at Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University campus under auspices of District TB Control office in collaboration with Agha Khan Health Services (AKHSP) and Red Crescent Society (RCS) here Wednesday.According to details, Deputy Commissioner Chitral Rahmatullah Wazir was the chief guest on the occasion.Addressing the seminar doctors and experts said that TB was a curable disease and its treatment was totally free of cost from diagnosing to treatment.Free booklets, pamphlets, brushers were also distributed among the participants.A large number of students, teachers, doctors and social workers participated in the event.Earlier, a walk was also held for the awareness of TB among masses.Copyright APP (Associated Press of Pakistan), 2013
