CICC signs cooperative agreement with KASB

BEIJING: Chinese corporates and SOEs (State Own Enterprises) are looking at prospects of making investment in infrastructure projects in Pakistan."We have signed a pact with the China International Capital Corporation (CICC) under which different areas of economy have been identified for investments as well as taking part in privatization and acquition of various public and private sectors entities" said Nasir Ali Shah Bukhari, Chairman KASB here in an interview with APP on Monday.Under the pact, KASB and CICC will jointly provide advisory, consultancy, underwriting and facilitation for Chiense investors in areas of energy, including hydel, wind and solar power, development of infrastructure, highways, sea ports, coal gasification, dams, development of oil and gas fields, mining and improvement in power transmission to help accelerate pace of economic development in Pakistan.The pact also covers complete financing in different projects in Pakistan by large Chinese institutions, said Nasir Bukhari.Nasir Ali Shah Bukhari, on behalf of KASB (Khaldim Ali Shah Bukhari), signed the pact in presence of their partner Soulong Douji, from CICC by Lin Shourang, while heads of various wings were also present.KASB also plans to hold road shows in China in collaboration with CICC to reach out to Chinese private and public...
