Two MQM workers killed in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: Unidentified assailants shot dead two activists of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and injured another here on Tuesday. According to police, unknown armed men opened fire at workers of MQM near Mehboob Ground in Latifabad area of Hyderabad.As a result of firing two persons identified as Manzoor Ahmed and Nadeem Ajmairi were killed on the spot and another sustained wounds. The attackers fled the scene after committing dual murder.The bodies and injured person were shifted to local hospital for medico-legal-requirements.Meanwhile MQM chief Altaf Hussain has condemned the killing of two of his party workers. He said MQM was being targeted recurrently in incidents of terror and bomb blasts, adding that it was a plot to sabotage his party from taking part in the coming elections.He also agitated against the killing of MQM's Hyderabad candidate Fakhrul Islam last month who was contesting for the Sindh provincial assembly’s PS-47 seat.Copyright INP (Independent News Pakistan), 2013
