Scrutiny of 21 nomination papers start for NA_34 Dir Lower district

TIMERGARA: Like others parts of the country, the first phase of filling of nomination papers has successfully completed in Lower Dir district where 21 candidates including a woman filed their papers for single National Assembly (NA-34) Dir Lower constituency for elections 2013.Prominent among those, who submitted their nomination papers for NA_34 Dir Lower including Shahibzada Muhammad Yaqoob Khan (JI), Farid Khan (PML-N), Qazi Fazlullah (JUI-F), former State Minister and PPP stalwart Malik Azmat Khan, Muhammad Azam Khan (ANP) and Malik Rasheed of PTI.For the first time in the history of Lower Dir District, a woman candidate Nushrat Begium, who was elected the District Vice President of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf (PTi) has also filed nomination papers as Independent candidate and hopeful to get party ticket.The total registered voters in the constituency are 5,40,091 for whom 308 polling stations would be setup to exercise their right of franchise on May 11 next in the 2013 election.Similarly, 24 candidates have filled nomination papers for PK 94 Timergarah, 16 candidates for PK-95 Jandol, 14 candidates for PK 96 Maidan Tehsil and 26 for PK-97 Adeenzai Lower Dir.The staff of Election Commission of Pakistan has started the scrutiny of nomination papers that will continue till April...
