Tax net to be broadened for achieving targets: Lutfullah

LAHORE: Chief Collector,Customs Federal Board of Revenue Lutfullah on Thursday directed all collectors to broaden the tax net and make efforts to achieve revenue targets. He held meetings with collectors of Multan,Faisalabad,Sambrial and Lahore,to review their targets as well as pace of tax recovery. Collector,Customs,(Preventive) Junaid Akram, Collector,Customs (Appraisement),Zeba Hai Azhar and other collectors apprised him of collection targets. He thoroughly evaluated overall output of all the collectors and measures were also discussed at length to ensure recovery of taxes. He directed collector Appraisement,Lahore to check ever increasing concealing of invoices,under invoicing and under assessment of containers carrying foreign goods.Copyright APP (Associated Press of Pakistan), 2013
